KISSIMMEE, FL – One man was killed and another was injured after a motorcycle collided with an SUV stopped on Simpson Road in Kissimmee yesterday afternoon, according to local news sources.
The crash happened on southbound Simpson Rd near Marisol Loop as a Mitsubishi Outlander SUV was stopped in the outside lane of traffic. It was then struck from behind by a motorcyclist, a 21-year-old Kissimmee man, who failed to stop in time. The impact threw the motorcyclist from his vehicle.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver of the SUV, an 82-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
