CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL – Two died, and one was injured from a solo-vehicle crash on I-75 and Tuckers Grade Road Wednesday in Charlotte County.  The collision occurred around 9 pm, NBC-2 said. A driver was speeding at a high rate. Then lost control of the car, rotated, and slammed into a tree. PUNTA GORDA, FL – Two people died Monday night when a pickup truck and sedan collided head-on on U.S. 41 in Charlotte County, ABC 7 reports. Police say the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. near Zemel Road in Punta Gorda. A 46-year-old man from North Port drove his pickup truck south in a northbound lane of U.S. 41. The pickup truck crashed head-on into a sedan driven by a 31-year-old man from Punta Gorda. The collision killed both drivers. The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
