MARION COUNTY, FL – A solo-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 301 in Marion County claimed a person’s life Sunday, Click Orlando said.  The collision happened before 1 a.m.  A driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck wanted to negotiate a curve and did not stay in his lane. This caused the vehicle to travel off course and later roll over.  The driver did not wear a seatbelt and was thrown from his vehicle. MARION COUNTY, FL – One man died and another was hospitalized when a car and pickup truck collided on U.S. 441 near Ocala on Friday afternoon. Ocala Star-Banner reports that the crash happened around 1:39 p.m. about one mile south of the U.S. 441/301 split. Police say the driver of a northbound Ford Mustang veered into southbound traffic because he could not stop in time for the cars that had slowed ahead of him.
