MIAMI, FL – Three people died and two were critically injured in a two-vehicle collision on State Road 836 in Miami on Saturday night.
7 News Miami reports that the crash happened near the intersection with NW 107th Avenue around 11:20 p.m.
Police say the incident occurred when a westbound Lexus sedan collided with an SUV. After the initial collision, the Lexus crashed through a median guardrail and hit a tree.
Two women were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A third woman was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died.
Two men that were involved in the crash sustained critical injuries and were taken to HCA Florida Kendell Hospital.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
