Dania Beach, FL – Two people were pronounced dead on the scene and two others were hurt in a single-car crash that occurred Sunday morning in Dania Beach, NBC 6 reports.
Florida police say the accident happened on Northbound I-95 near Griffin Road at 6:15 AM, when a driver lost control of a vehicle and collided with an impact attenuator on the median.
Two people were thrown from the vehicle and died, while another two were taken to local hospitals for treatment. One of the parties sustained critical injuries.
Police closed the northbound lanes of I-95 near the scene of the accident as they began the investigation.
The parties involved in the crash have not yet been identified, and police are working to determine why the driver lost control of the vehicle.
