4 dead after Tesla and minivan crash in Martin County

STUART, FL- Four people died when two vehicles crashed and one of the caught on fire in Martin County on Oct 18, WPTV reports.

Both vehicles were at the Baker Road intersection on Federal Highway when the accident occurred. A Chrysler minivan was turning left when a Tesla drove into the minivan and struck the front right of it. The Tesla caught on fire after it flipped from the impact.

Each vehicle contained two people.

In the Tesla were a young man and woman, both under twenty years old. The man died at the scene. The woman was hospitalized but eventually passed away.

In the minivan were a man and woman, both around seventy years old. Both died at the scene.

All lanes were closed from 12:30p.m. until 6:30p.m. as first responders tended to the crash and the cleanup.
