65-year-old pedestrian killed after getting hit by car in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – A pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a car walking across Dale Mabry Highway around 9 pm Wednesday.

According to The Tampa Free Press, the pedestrian entered the car’s path. The pedestrian, a 65-year-old man from Tampa, suffered significant injuries. However, it is unclear if he was killed at the scene or taken to the hospital where he died.

The driver was a 20-year-old man from Tampa. Police did not report injuries from the driver. It is unknown if impairment or alcohol were factors in Wednesday’s crash.

Police have not released the specifics of the crash or the names of the driver and pedestrian.
