DELTONA, FL – A three-vehicle crash killed a man near Howland Boulevard and Chilton Street before 1 pm Saturday, WFTV reported.
The cause of the collision was that a man lost control of his vehicle in heavy rain. He was driving south on Howland Street when his car crossed the median. Then two oncoming vehicles collided with his car.
The man who lost control was identified as 31-year-old Sabbeer White. Law enforcement believes the rain, speeding, and White not wearing a seat belt were major factors in Saturday’s crash.
White was killed, and the two other drivers were transported to a hospital for minor injuries.
Lanes were closed for many hours and have reopened.
