Motorcyclist, 19, dies after getting hit by bus in Pompano Beach

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – A 19-year-old man died in a motorcycle-bus crash in Pompano Beach Wednesday, Local 10 reported. 

The collision took place around 1 pm at Northwest 21st Street. After a bus driver turned left on Northwest 21st Street, he hit a motorcyclist. 

The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle. Police identified him as Phillipe Madeira

Madeira, 19, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The bus driver was identified as 40-year-old Eleazard Toussaint. 

Police suspected Toussaint of speeding.

It is unclear if Toussaint will face any charges or if he was injured. No one else was present on the bus. 

The crash is under investigation.
