On Feb. 24th, a female motorcyclist died after crashing into a van on Country Road 309 and being ejected from her motorcycle. At 7:30p.m., the woman drove into a van that was turning off the road. The van was turning into a gas station at Country Rd. 309 and Country Rd. 308 when it was hit. The 52 year-old woman driving the motorcycle was not utilizing a helmet and had to be airlifted for her injuries. She died at the hospital. The driver of the van was not harmed. A motorcycle that was coming up onto the crash from behind attempted to avoid the accident, but ended up turning over in the process. This motorcyclist was also injured, but reports only mentioned minor injuries.
