Narrative

DADE CITY, FL – A driver of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck declined to stop at a stop sign, leading him to collide with a Harley Davidson motorcycle, resulting in the motorcyclist’s death. This collision occurred before 11:30 a.m. Monday at the U.S. 301 and Wire Road junction. The unidentified motorcyclist — a 53-year-old man (whose name was not released) — suffered fatal wounds at the scene. The pickup truck driver was only identified as an 82-year-old man, a Brutus, Michigan, resident. It is unclear if he was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic and if he sustained any injuries. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
