Narrative
NAPLES, FL – A driver of an SUV was trapped inside their vehicle and needed to be extricated after they were hit by a driver of a white car who fled the scene on foot Tuesday.
This collision happened before 12:30 a.m. on I-75 South near mile marker 108. As indicated in the photos, the white car sustained some heavy damage, and the SUV landed on its side.
Fire crews extricated the SUV driver. It is unclear if they took that person to the hospital.
At the time of reporting, they used an aviation device to try to locate the hit-and-run driver. To no avail, the suspect was not found.
An investigation was launched by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. No other information is available.
