Narrative
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A 38-year-old riding a bicycle lost her life after she was struck by a pickup truck and then by a driver of another car who fled the scene Tuesday.
This collision happened around 8:30 p.m. at the U.S. 41 and Judd Road junction. The truck driver, operated by a woman, stayed at the scene while the other motorist fled the crash site.
Florida Highway Patrol said the front of the truck hit the cyclist. The woman from Lehigh Acres fell from her bicycle and succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.
