Narrative
NEAR MOSSY HEAD, FL – A 70-year-old male driver drifted off southbound I-285 and into the northbound lanes, leading him to hit another vehicle, claiming a woman’s life Sunday.
This collision happened before 6 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol said the man struck the front driver’s side of the other vehicle. The woman, who was only identified as a 49-year-old, succumbed to fatal wounds, while the passenger with her — a 16-year-old boy — sustained minor wounds, and the 70-year-old man suffered serious injuries.
Troopers did not specify if the teenage boy and man were sent to a hospital, nor did they indicate any pending charges or citations.
