Narrative
BELLEVIEW, FL – A two-vehicle crash along the highway in south-central Marion County killed two people and injured a third on Thursday.
The accident happened at 5:03 p.m. on US-441 and Southeast 95th Street, which is in the city of Belleview.
Police say that a southbound Toyota Tacoma struck a Chevy Cobalt when the latter vehicle turned left from northbound US-441 onto 95th Street.
The occupants of the Chevy, a 72-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman, died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released their names to the public.
Medics transported the driver of the Toyota to the hospital with serious injuries.
