Narrative
SANTA ROSA CO., FL – A young child died over the weekend from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash last Friday in Blackwater River State Forest.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Red Rock Road and Sandy Forest Road, which is close to Milton and Holt.
Police say that an SUV carrying one adult and two children collided with a pickup truck carrying one person when the driver of the SUV failed to heed a stop sign.
All four people involved in the crash went to the hospital. A 7-year-old from the SUV died after transport.
The 73-year-old driver of the SUV sustained serious injuries.
Both the driver of the pickup truck as well as a second child from the SUV sustained minor injuries.
