Narrative
CLERMONT, FL – A 39-year-old motorcyclist died late Saturday night in a three-vehicle crash along the highway in southern Lake County.
Emergency teams responded to the northbound side of US-27 near Sawgrass Bay in the city of Clermont, which is about 26 miles west of Orlando.
Police say that a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis struck the rear of a 2024 Yamaha motorcycle. A 2023 Tesla Model Y then hit the Grand Marquis.
The motorcyclist, identified only as a woman from Davenport, died after transport to an area hospital.
Nobody else sustained injuries in the wreck.
