Boy, 14, dead in car versus pickup truck crash in DeLand

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL – Three were injured, and a 14-year-old teenager was left dead in a crash between a car and a pickup truck in DeLand Thursday. 

The collision occurred at North Spring Avenue and East International Speedway Boulevard around 7:30 pm, FOX 35 Orlando

The driver of the car, a 16-year-old teenage boy, attempted to make a U-turn when a Ford F-150 struck their vehicle. 

The 16-year-old boy and the Ford F-150 driver and passenger were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The 14-year-old passenger from the car succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
