Narrative
TITUSVILLE, FL – A collision involving a car and an e-bike claimed the life of an elderly man in north-central Brevard County on Saturday.
The accident occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. along US-1 between Kings Highway and Golden Knights Boulevard in the city of Titusville, which is just southeast of Space Coast Regional Airport.
Police haven’t yet specified if the cyclist was travelling along the shoulder of the highway or in a main lane of travel.
Authorities declared the 71-year-old bicyclist deceased at the scene. His name has not been released to the public.
The driver of the sedan stopped to render and and to speak with police. He did was not hurt in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
