Narrative
COCONUT CREEK, FL – A 30-year-old woman died Thursday morning after a vehicle struck her sedan along the Turnpike in Coconut Creek.
Crews reported to the northbound side of Florida’s Turnpike just south of Coconut Creek Parkway around 3 a.m. This is just east of Broward College’s north campus.
Police say that the victim was stopped along the northbound shoulder in her 2009 Acura TSX sedan when a 2015 Jeep Wrangler rear-ended her vehicle at full speed.
The driver of the Acura died at the scene. Authorities haven’t yet released her name to the public.
The driver of the Jeep sustained non-critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
