Narrative
MIRAMAR, FL – A 23-year-old man died 10 days ago in a wrong-way collision along Florida’s Turnpike in Miramar.
The crash happened in the morning, just east of Red Road, or Northwest 57th Avenue, in the city of Miramar. This is just northwest of Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.
Police say that the female driver of a Honda Element entered the wrong side of Florida’s Turnpike and collided head-on with a Honda Civic. The Civic overturned, killing the driver at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as Ezequiel Urrutia.
Medics transported the wrong-way driver to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
