Driver, 26, killed in crash involving semi-truck in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL – A driver collided with a semi-truck and was killed Monday afternoon, News 6 WKMG reported

The collision happened at 12:50 pm between Oak Ridge Road and Rio Grande Avenue.

Florida Highway Patrol State Troopers said the 26-year-old male driver was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry on Oak Ridge Road when his vehicle swerved into the westbound lane and crashed into the oncoming semi-truck.

The Camry driver was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died, said the Orange County Fire Rescue. It is unclear if anyone else was injured.

As of Monday, Oak Ridge Road is closed and drivers are encouraged to see an alternative route, the news channel reported.
