Narrative
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL – A driver of an SUV succumbed to fatal injuries, and the passenger sustained injuries after an SUV crash involving a tree Sunday. This collision occurred around 10 a.m. on State Road 776. For reasons unclear, the driver of the SUV went off the road and crashed into a palm tree in a parking lot. Both occupants were taken to a hospital. The victims’ names were not released, nor have officials indicated other details. Officials only said that the driver – a 72-year-old adult from Englewood – was taken to a hospital, where he or she was pronounced dead. The passenger – a 70-year-old from Estero – suffered unspecified injuries. There has been no official word on the living occupant’s current condition.
