PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – A 67-year-old man’s life was claimed after a single-vehicle collision on Charleston Circle after 10 a.m. Wednesday. For reasons unclear, the driver lost control of his vehicle before hitting a pole and crashing into a pond. The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of Wednesday’s crash. No further information is available.
