MANATEE COUNTY, FL – A Thursday afternoon single motorcycle crash in Manatee County left a 19-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
NBC 2 said the collision happened before 4:30 pm on US 41. The man did not negotiate a curve on the road, which caused him to swerve off course and detour to a grassy median. Shortly after, his motorcycle flipped over.
Florida Highway Patrol said speeding was a contributor to Thursday’s crash. The man, whose name was not released, was hospitalized for significant injuries. His current condition was not reported.
