Multi-vehicle crash in Pinellas County leaves two injured, one dead

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – A six-vehicle crash on 102 Avenue in Pinellas County left one dead and two injured Tuesday. 

The collision occurred around 2:15 pm, according to the Tampa Bay Times. A sports car driver failed to yield or slow down to an oncoming intersection and collided with an SUV.

The SUV driver, a 46-year-old woman, then slammed into another SUV, which then hit a pickup truck. The pickup truck driver hit an SUV, and then the SUV hit a dump truck.

The 46-year-old woman of the first SUV and the pick-up truck, a 75-year-old man, were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.

The sports car driver, a 55-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
