MIAMI GARDENS, FL – Three people were hurt when a tractor trailer collided with two other vehicles on Florida’s Turnpike Wednesday morning, NBC 6 reports.
Police say the truck driver lost control of the 18-wheeler while driving south on the turnpike near 199th Street. The tractor trailer left the highway, hit the median wall, and jackknifed before overturning into oncoming traffic on the other side of the turnpike. The truck was then hit by a BMW sedan and an SUV.
Serious injuries have not been reported from the crash, but all three drivers were transported to the hospital.
Police are still investigating why the truck driver lost control of the 18-wheeler.
