Seminole Co. motorcyclist dies in 2-vehicle DeLand crash

DELAND, FL – A 20-year-old biker from Altamonte Springs died when his motorcycle collided with a car on Thursday night in Volusia County.

Fox 35 Orlando reports that the motorcyclist was driving a Honda dirt bike north on Spring Garden Avenue when he struck a southbound Toyota Corolla around 10:30 p.m. The driver of the Corolla was attempting to turn left onto West Euclid Avenue when the two vehicles collided. The impact of the collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike.

Police say the motorcyclist was not wearing a safety helmet. He was pronounced dead at AdventHealth DeLand.

The driver of the Toyota sustained non-critical injuries.

State police will continue the investigation.
