SUMTER COUNTY, FL – A solo-truck crash claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman on SR-44 after 11 am Friday.
The Tampa Free Press said the woman did not slow down for a curve in the road. As a result, the truck swerved off course, entered the median, and rolled over. The woman was ejected from the vehicle.
Florida State Troopers said a significant contributor to Friday’s crash was the woman’s failure to wear a seatbelt.
