Narrative
An unidentified driver fatally struck two 70 year-old pedestrians at night on March 24 on State Road A1A. The car was heading south and the 64 year-old female driver did wait for authorities following the incident. No one in the vehicle, which included two passengers, were injured. The pedestrians, however, were both pronounced dead after they were hospitalized. It remains unclear why the pedestrians, who were both from Daytona Beach Shores, were crossing the roadway in the first place.
