ST. PETE BEACH, FL- A woman was killed and another injured when they were hit by an SUV on Gulf Way Saturday night, reports 10TampaBeach.
Both women were crossing the street and not utilizing the crosswalk when they were hit. Maria Rodriguez, who is 68 years-old, survived. Lynn Gilliland, who was 56 years-old, died while hospitalized.
The incident occurred at 7p.m., when the car turned onto Gulf Way from 8th Avenue. Neither speeding nor alcohol or drugs are thought to have played a role in the actions of the 21 year old driver.
