FORT MYERS, FL – A semi-truck crashed into the wall of an overpass in Fort Myers on Friday, causing its trailer to fall into the road below, Fox 13 Tampa Bay reports.
The crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. on northbound I-75. Police have not commented on what may have caused the crash. They say the truck caught on fire after the crash and that the trailer portion fell from the overpass onto Alico Road.
Officials closed part of of I-75 along with Alico Road on Friday morning while crews worked to clean up the scene.
No injuries were reported from the crash,
