Narrative
ORMOND BEACH, FL – One person died, and another sustained injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on the far-west side of Ormond Beach.
Emergency crews responded sometime in the morning to the area of Granada Boulevard just east of Shadow Crossings Boulevard. This is just east of the northernmost end of Tiger Bay State Forest.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the accident. They say the collision involved a man driving a 2021 Ford F-150 and a 16-year-old boy driving a 2015 GMC Sierra.
The driver of the Ford died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
Medics transported the teen driver to an area hospital with serious injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
