ORANGE COUNTY, FL – A head-on collision between a car and a train injured a person around 12pm Monday in Orange County. Wesh 2 News said the crash happened on Horatio Avenue and Maitland Avenue. The car was traveling west on Horatio when it slammed into the train. The cause of the crash is unknown. Police have not released the driver’s identity; however, they did say the driver was transported to a hospital for unspecified injuries. No one on the train was harmed in the crash. Ocoee, FL – A fatal accident occurred on Wurst Road Thursday morning when an unnamed driver veered off course and ran into a pole and the wall of a storage unit, reports The Orange Observer. Police say the accident happened around 1:30AM as the driver was heading west on Wurst in the vicinity of Jamela. The passenger, whom police have not named, died while receiving treatment at Health Central Hospital – Orlando Health. The driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for serious injuries. Authorities say that the crash is under investigation with The Ocoee Police Traffic Homicide Unit.
